Rules for Sellers - violation may result in removal of your ad without warning or, in extreme cases, banning.
• Items for sale belong here, and nowhere else on this forum.
• Keep it relevant. Don't advertise baby furniture, old copies of National Geographic, or your old dad's collection of Ridgid Tool calendars. Guns, gun parts, accessories, magazines, ammunition, gun leather, reloading equipment, gunsmith tools, gun books, toy guns, sales literature, ashtrays with the ASTRA logo, and such are what this section is for.
• No dealers. No links to dealer or auction sites. If dealers show any interest I'll consider putting paid ads on the site.
• If any poster floods this section I'll have to impose limits.
• All items offered for sale must be listed with prices. All ads must have detailed and honest descriptions of the goods on offer. Photos are recommended. This forum offers free hosting for photos accompanying posts - use the upload an image file link on each page. Links to photos stored elsewhere will of course work too.
• All ads must contain valid contact information. Your forum e-mail address is fine so long as it's still valid. Phone numbers or addresses are optional.
• All ads should include information about the location of the merchandise. This forum has an international readership, and shipping anything heavy from, say, Svalbard to Tristan da Cunha may not make a lot of sense.
• Nothing is allowed which is illegal either where located when offered or where it finally ends up. In the US, that list of verboten items would include stolen merchandise, guns modified into machine guns, guns with scrubbed serial numbers, unlicensed silencers, CDs of copyrighted material, etc.
• If your item is sold, given away, or whatever, do not delete your ad. Use the EDIT function to add a note that it is no longer available. Adding SOLD or GIVEN AWAY or some similar notice to the title is probably best.

• This is a free service for forum members. Use of it is at your own risk. Although I peruse the ads and do my best to keep everything honest, I cannot in any practical sense be liable for problems with any subsequent transactions. Be sensible and don't do anything here you wouldn't do on eBay.
• And since it's a free service for members, one must be a registered forum member to use it. Registration uses an e-mail verification system which sometimes doesn't work very well. If a prospective member never receives the verification e-mail, he can't register. If that seems to be a problem, contact me at mail1896mauser@yahoo.com. Then I can override the software and do the registration confirmation manually. Be patient, I rarely check that mailbox more than once a day.
• Avoid loading up the forum with "message sent" replies and such. Conduct your transactions by e-mail or PM or by telephone if a number is provided. Notify me if there's trouble and I'll see what I can do. |
